Though I put the xmas tree (and lights) up a week ago, I didn't add ornaments until today. (I'm all about the lights! It's red and orange, but strung with enough lights so that there is the option of just plugging in all reds or all oranges. Or both ( Read more... )

He looks so majestic with the light catching his wings, but the clenched fists ...not so much :)

He was up there last year too. He's...a bird. That's...sort of like an angel.?.

Maybe you could give him something to hold to de-emphasize the fist-clenching - ooh, maybe a star? Or Rorschach? xD

...and then somehow my mind went to poor film!schach's fate, and I had the thought that that's one hell of a way to make a snow angel... >.< And now I'm stuck between xD and T_T. I think I need to get out more...

Yeah, the "NoooOOo00Oo - Rorschach's fate" associations made me reposition his arms. I'll just put a big sparkly ribbon around his neck :D

I've tried in previous years. In the dark, the pics don't come out well. Yeah, you'd love the ships, though! Hallmark makes them. They're the christmas present from my father every year.

that is so awesomesauce that you have that many ships to decorate the tree with. :D next time i get a tree (not fusing with one this year cuz we'll be in california visiting mommy dearest), i'll try and remember to hang up inappropriate toys (all male figures i mean). that way both the kids and i have a good christmas. they just won't know why mine is so nice. :)

Dad gets me a Star Trek ornament every year. He gives my sister ornaments from the boring "Barbie" line :D Yes, I am a child.

Hell yes, a man-adorned tree would be a terrific decorating statement!

oh that's right. i think you might have told me about that before. i was about to say "must be nice!", but then again i have a mom that buys me copic markers... sooo...

if i got to pick my man-adorn (great word btw) tree, it'd be filled with snape/harry, rorschach/daniel, dr. manhattan/dr. manhattan, g.i. joe figures (the old ones), and some prime/megatron action. :) mmmmmm

Oh. em. gee! I am SO glad you're here to back me up. I saw it posted, but didn't watch it. THAT WAS HYSTERICAL! Very creative re-enactment. I have too many favorite parts, mainly centered around the low-budget special effects! Yeah, attention programs: Daft Punk is gonna derezz the HELL out of your asses!

Now I'm inspired too! I don't have any spaceships, but I've got the Batmobile, and Lore, and Eeyore, and a blue duckie with pink stars and a silver beak, and Ganesha, and a Wild Thing... And a Darksun dinosaur (no idea what it's called) with an orc on its back... Wheee! :o)

Hallmark makes ornaments of everything.

Most of them light up or have sound effects, or both. The Death Star one has the Emporer's voice saying the whole "Now witness the firepower of this fully-armed and operational battle station..." speech.

They are awesome. And oh yes, you should totally tie Lore to a tree...or to a wreath or something. The Batmobile too! It's going to be a very merry fandom holiday :)
