I haven't lived in this house for a full year's rotation of seasons, so I have yet to determine how much sunlight the back patio gets. If the sun ever comes out again, I'll take note. I bought some flowers that are okay with partial sun, just to be safe. I also don't know how good the soil is, so I got some of that too. And a shovel, and work ( Read more... )

She wasn't pleased that I got rid of all the weeds she liked to nibble on.

I can't wait to get the whole area planted and colorful!

Beautiful flower choices! (Though of course they're good if kitty approves). All these gardening posts are making me want to head out and get some pretty plants of my own.

I've never actually seen a heather plant before, just read about them growing on moors. Very pretty flowers!

There were so many I wanted, it was very hard to choose. Yeah, you should get something to tend. The home improvement stores are STOCKED right now. I've wanted a heather plant...bush...shrub whatever-the-term for a long time. Makes me feel British. They had white ones too.
