speaking of pretentious words, how the hell am i having an internet discussion *and* writing a paper about... antidisestablishmentarianism?!?

No! You are? You mean you actually get to use that word in the essay? Lucky dog. Though I did manage to slip "philoprogenitive" into one of my creative nonfiction essays, to no ill effect...

well, i haven't actually used the word in the paper... yet. perhaps i'll try! but i'm referring to our discussion of the 19th century papacy-- and my paper on the syllabus errorum.

for though he may be writing of the roman rather than the english church, you won't find a more vehement antidisestablishmentarian than our friend bl. pius ix. it's error number 55.

so now you can claim it too.

maybe i'll work in a paragraph on the hypocrisy of english antidisestablishmentarian dislike of the syllabus. just 'cos.
