Also, she had not completely forgiven Jack Sparrow for his attempt on her life after his rescue of her. She crossed her arms and looked at The Doctor, who she had also not forgiven for tangling her in this mess to begin with.
"Give me one good reason -- either of you -- why I should not simply call the guards at this very moment."

"Oh, no," said Jack to The Doctor, "this one's all yours to field. Last time I tangled with little miss ingrate over there, I ended up... well, here, savvy?"
Shrugging, The Doctor gestured at Elizabeth. "Well, there is the matter of the medallion that's still stuck to your chest. You'll need me out of here, otherwise you're going to need to spend the rest of your life wearing dresses with unfashionably high necklines."
"A shame that'd be," interjected Jack from the corner of his cell.
"Anyway," The Doctor continued, "you've got to let me out so we can finish the job we started." He glanced at the cell door and tapped it, then sniffed it, then licked it. "Half-pin barrel hinges. We just lift the door right off." He pointed at a nearby wooden bench, under which a dog was sleeping. "I think we might be able to use that for leverage..."

Touching her chest where the medallion hung, she frowned at both of them, trying to cover up her bosom with both hands suddenly. "If you don't mind..." She noticed the pirate's grin as soon as she said that, and soon Elizabeth gave up any sense of modesty.
"Fine!" She marched over to where the dog was asleep and whistled, waking it and noticing that it had a set of keys within its mouth. Plucking them from his lips, she turned and unlocked the jailcell, then let the keychain dangle from one finger. "Or," she said rather smugly, "we could unlock the bloody thing."
She let The Doctor out, but quickly shut the door behind him, handing the keys back to the dog. "Sorry, Captain Sparrow, but I'm afraid you'll have to remain behind." She tilted her head to the dog, who had the keys in its mouth once again.
"He'll keep you company."
