As a general note to everyone, if you notice something's wrong then you might want to get checked by a doctor. It would be better to get a checkup sooner rather than regretting it later.

Is something wrong?

No, not at this time.

That's good, then. Tell me if there's any problem, all right?

Is there something going around?

No, not that I know of. This just stems from something that went on earlier this week, when a girl had to literally drag her friend to the clinic to get something that was ailing her checked out. I thought it was a good idea to head off any more of those cases before they worsened.

Yeah, I can see why you'd want to do that. There's being afraid of needles, sure, but that's going a bit too far.

I'm Robin, by the way.

And I'm Derek Stiles. Good to meet you, Robin.

Doctors, hmm? I certainly hope you're better than the so-called 'doctors' in London.

Should anything happen to me, I'd be tempted to take care of myself, rather than risk a visit to any of them.

London? I've only been there once, though if Caduceus Europe is any indicator of the medicine they have I don't see why you disapprove so much.

How much medical knowledge do you have, in that case?

I very much doubt the London you visited is the London I come from.

I haven't any medical knowledge myself, although my roommate knows a bit of basic herbal remedies, such as the sort you might find in an apothecary. Cures for headache and stomach troubles, that sort of thing.

Not the London you come from?

Herbal remedies might help for those sorts of things, but if you ever develop something serious--which, hopefully, will not happen--treating yourself may not be a good idea unless absolutely necessary.

Going ta a doctor ain't that important, I've survived just fine without going ta one for sixteen years.

S'good yer helping people though. Or at least alerting em.

...You've never gotten sick?

Helping people is what I do. Nobody wants to be sick or injured if they can help it, do they?

No, we been sick, or father has just used herbal remedies that worked fine, since on our world, we couldn't exactly walk into a store or a doctors office, since we're not human.

You're not human?

...You wouldn't happen to know the ratio of human to, er, non-human residents, would you? My first patient here wasn't one either.

Yes, I am a doctor. Don't worry, it's just a warning. There was a case a few days ago where someone was reluctant to have something looked at, and I thought it was a good idea to prevent more of that if possible.

No, it's all right; you're not the only one who asked that. I should have been more clear.
