Okay, I'm going to leave any Oscar fashion ranting up to Krista (save the horrible monstrosity that Tilda Swinton was wearing - basically a tan sack on top and black sack on bottom - awful, just awful - and ugly), but I did see some interesting trailers. So, I wanted to share!
The first is a movie called Duplicity, which re-teams Julia Roberts and Clive Owen (Yum!) as ex-lovers and opposing spies who team up (and apparently hook up) to steal $20mil each from their bosses. I think it's fairly obvious why I want to see this one...
Release Date: 20 March 2009

http://www.imdb.com/video/imdb/vi3650552601/ The next is a new Sandra Bullock movie, All About Steve, which is nice simply because she hasn't been in anything since 2007's awful Premonition, but I have mixed feelings. First of all, she's blond which just doesn't look right, but then, she plays this really clueless character who follows a guy (who can't stand her) across the country.

http://www.imdb.com/video/screenplay/vi3972268825/ BUT I think she'll more than make up for any Steve disappoints in June when she teams up with Ryan Reynolds for The Proposal - also starring Betty White, Denis O'Hare (love him!) and Oscar from The Office. Basically, she's the bitchy boss, and he's the squashed assistant. When she finds out she's about to be deported back to Canada, she announces to her bosses that she's marrying Reynolds and browbeats him into agreeing. Trouble ensues. Personally, I think it looks adorable!! I mean, come on! A Sandra Bullock RomCom with all the eye-candy and comic relief that is Ryan Reynolds!! How could this be bad?

Ryan Reynolds - I had NO IDEA that he was going to be in the new X-men movie! Yay! Still, trying to figure out if I'm going to like him as Deadpool though, and I'm pretty sure I don't like their casting choice for Gambit.
Super Heroes (sort of) - The new Transformers movie looks like it's going to be just as good as the first - yay! Also, they're starting the production of Iron Man 2, and Gwenyth is coming back for it! :-D Hopefully, the romance will go somewhere this time! But I'm upset because they're thinking of recasting the role of the Hulk for the Avengers movie due out in 2011, and Edward Norton rocked as the Hulk!! Not fair!
Robert Downey, Jr. - I was excited about him playing Sherlock Holmes in the new movie, but I've just heard they're making the character gay - and turning Holmes and Watson (played by Jude Law, by the way) into lovers. Now, I've no issue with them inventing new characters and making them gay, but Holmes wasn't gay - a pompous drug addict - sure - but not gay. Watson - I'll admit I've always wondered about - but Holmes had a lady love who died young and who's referenced from time to time - that's part of the reason he seems so haunted. So, yeah, not sure if I'll be able to adjust to that plot twist. I'll still see it, of course, because I've always liked Downey and love Holmes, but it's gonna take some time for me to wrap my head around it - kinda like turning Starbuck into a girl and having her fall love with Apollo - not the way it's suppose to go...
