every time i watch award shows (or pre-show red carpet), or read some sort of tabloid news--i feel like i'm getting dumber by the minute

The other reason for that might be anorexia - and the more likely one, judging by how she looked recently.

but she doesn't look skinny or gaunt. her face is actually quite round and fresh looking. so i don't think it's that.
