Hello, 2016! It's been so long I can't entirely remember how to html.

I have Broadway RPF and Les Miserables to thank for dragging me back into the crazy world of fandom. I now have a tumblr, wonder of wonders! Come follow me.

As a result, I'm taking voice lessons again so I can sing "One Song Glory" and "Bring Him Home" the way I want. I am ( Read more... )

heh, IDK what I'm doing anym on LJ. but I am so glad you stopped by!

ooh, thanks for linking me to the coriolanus gloriousness! my 2014 ramin/hads story has kind of been derailed by les miserables canon-era JVJ fic, but I definitely have rpf on my dance card. i managed to dubcon an old friend into writing it, and we have this ridiculous 2010-era thing going on on AO3 involving Nick Jonas, whom Ramin jumps on, as he does ;) but he'll always come home to Hadley <3

hope your travels are over for the month? i've just started a High Court case, so RL has been v v busy for me! still writing like it's going out of style, though ;)

Oh, I adore musical theater! I love Les Mis. I've only seen it live once, on Broadway in 1992. Debbie Gibson was Eponine and Lacey Chabert was young Cosette. To see Les Mis live is ... just fantastic <-- that doesn't even do the show justice, in a word that is. I spent the show being washed over by wave after wave of chills.

One of my most favorite quotes ever is from Les Mis:

To love another person is to see the face of God...

I, too, studied vocal music -- I love singing the songs from Les Mis. I need to see Hamilton, but, apparently, it's sold out until, like, 2040 or somesuch. Never mind the cost of tickets, oy!

Hey! How lovely of you to stop by! It's been such a long time since the heyday of elJay ;)

Les Mis Broadway 1992 with Debbie Gibson and Lacey Chabert must have been amazing~! What a wonderful experience!

I will say I have been bitten so badly by the musical bug that I have since seen Les Mis twice on the West End, once on Broadway, and three times when it came to the Island last year with the incomparable Earl Carpenter. (And I stumped for the cheap matinee seats at the Richard Rogers for Hamilton in Sept 2015, before the phenomenon really hit, and I cried so hard I think I broke something, and of course the next time I was in NYC I paid scalpers' prices to get much better seats. Still, so worth it to see Lin-Manuel and Jonathan Groff do their thing!)

I will probably be in NYC this summer, and am hoping to catch Norm Lewis in Sweeney Todd and Ramin in the new Anastasia! This is a much more expensive fandom than American Idol...
