OK, lazyweb, any good recommendations for wireless stereo speakers? My parents want some in their next stereo system, and are currently looking at Bose etc, but I'm certain there must be cheaper options available.
Wireless speakers are a joke. You have to connect a wire to them at some point, even if it's just to recharge the batteries.
Generally people request wireless speakers because they "don't want ugly wires making the place look messy", but in most wireless speaker setups, you still have to find a way to get power to the speakers.
If you're going to go to the effort of putting the power wires behind a wall or hiding them in some other way, you may as well just run that speaker wire behind the wall (or under the carpet) and save yourself a bunch of money (and get better sound quality) at the same time.
