Though David had been calm and quiet over the comm, he could hear the urgency in his voice. The subtle way in which his accent showed through, especially on the ends of words, when he was panicked. Nick smiled as he saw him, "Yeah I'm fine." He replied. "This is Jazln, she's sort of under my care at the moment." He replied. "We rescued her from the planet.

He looks at her through narrowed eyes over the top of his glasses for a moment before deciding she wasn't worth anymore attention. "Nick, tell me you didn't just 'rescue' her because you felt like she needed it. We do not need an intergalactic diplomatic incident. Her parents will probably want her back."

He looks over at David. "You know when I'm not around, you should stop him from going through these crazy schemes." He says stealing a piece of fruit from his plate as he sits down.

Nick sighed, "Her village was attacked by the wraith, and she was on her own we're going to look to see if her parents are still there." He replied mindful of JAzlyn.

Jazlyn stops eating her soup as a new person comes and sits down. He's arguing with Abu and she thinks he doesn't like her. She moves over to the edge of her chair so she's sitting right next to Abu and holding on to his arm.

"Hello, my name is Jazlyn. Ab-Mr Lorne is helping me look for my Ami and Abu." She's said that so many times already, with all the people that keep coming to the table, she gets almost every word perfect.

Kavanagh waits to hear Nick's response, just out of curiousity, before sneering at her. "Don't worry kiddo, I have no desire to be your Ami. Also I don't want to see your Ami be sad either." He adds in a softer voice.

"But it looks like you've gotten pretty fond of my Nick, so you and I are going to have to try and get along. Think your infinitely smaller brain can handle that?" He asks, rolling his eyes at her confounded look.

He dips his spoon in the blue jelly and holds it out close to the girl's mouth. "Here. Dessert, the universal language."

She really doesn't like this second Ami. He keeps looking at her meanly and also talks too much and too quickly and doesn't let her answer anything.

She's not sure about trying the food he has on the spoon. It's a strange colour. She's never seen any neeli food before. She looks to Ami, who smiles and nods, speaking softly and convincing her to try it. So she does.

"Mmmmm." She looks at Abu sheepishly. "Can I have this instead of the soup? Please?"

He sighed, "The doc's gonna kill me for this but ok, sure you can have some, only a little bit though. And say thank you."

"Shucrari," she says to Abu in a tone that makes it obvious she's thanking him. There's a huge grin on her face as she reaches for the jelly.
