It is July 12th, commemoration of the Battle of the Boyne and William of Orange.
It is called "Marching Season" because the Orange Order and The Apprentice Boys (all about 70) march through the cities banging drums and stuff. I have never seen one but I live in different areas to where they march through.
It is only in recent years that they have passed off peacefully there used to be a lot of trouble.
The joys of living in Northern Ireland. At least we get a couple of extra holidays though.
