Freedom is something people should be thankful for.

Some do not know how well they have it.

Though, disappointing will also come with that freedom.

Yes, freedom itself is a luxury no matter what world you're in, I suppose. And I don't think it's disappointing. Not as long as you expect that anything and everything can come out of "total freedom".

Freedom can lead to bad things, people should always keep that in mind.

Though, it is amusing to have freedom of choices.

Of course. Freedom is a neutral concept. It's a tool used however the person wielding it would like. People should keep this in mind always.

It would be boring if a person used freedom for the sake of abiding "order".

[It's that guy.]

. . . cat.

[And he doesn't recognize you... not yet.]

... Hm? Why, yes, I do have a cat. Would you like to speak to him?

I'd rather talk to my bunny.

[In the most serious voice, too.]

Mm. And I'm sure you have a nice bunny. Just who are you? How did you know I had a cat?

He's sleeping right now, so he couldn't have been mewling.

Freedom is, indeed, something wonderful my friend!

And also something overrated.

Overrated, you say? I admit that I'm skeptical, but do tell.

"Freedom" is the illusion that we are free to do solely as we want to do. Which is fine! People should be free to pursue what they desire, I suppose!

But at the same time, there are things we must do. That we are called to do. And these things? Overtake freedom. A sad and unfortunate truth, but one none the less!

True, but doesn't wielding freedom not also call us to expect such developments? Such "consequences"? You might say that it is a cost of freedom, but I welcome them all the same! And by expecting and welcoming them, I have full control over this illusion.

...you seem to have a firm grasp on evil political processes. I'll grant you that much.

Hm. What do they say? That your freedom to swing your fist ends at my nose? [He snorts.] This town has some big noses. I'd tell you to be careful, but, ehn. This? This is me, not caring.

doctor_tyrant November 26 2011, 03:06:04 UTC
Mm. It certainly has big noses, yes, but I have more than enough time and energy to swing, swing, swing!

Doof, you too... are like me in ways. You use science for the sake of conquest, don't you? I wonder how we could be so different.

I have better taste in headgear.

You have fun with your swinging, Doctor. I will go and prepare the popcorn.

Quite a shame, my friend. Quite a shame.

... Within a week, this town will go up in flames.
