(no subject)
Last Friday, I came home from work and waited until around 6:30 when my dad showed up and drove me up to Hartford for . Once we got there, we checked into the Marriot Downtown hotel. They had messed up our reservation, so we had a room with one Queen Size bed. I tested the key cards (Room 721) and then took a piss. I then called Rich and they went to go get thier stuff. I called Anna and talked to her for a while. I called Liz. Then Rich, Glenn, Nate, James, and Alex (who was leaving soon) showed up at the door. I called the chair closest to the window. We attempted to hook up an Xbox 360 and PS2 but the TV system wouldn't allow it. I decided to go down and register, so I opened the door, and then right there, were fucking Cyclops, Pheonix, Wolverine, and Gambit, walking down right at my door. I walked to the elevators with them, praising thier costumes. Right when we got to the elevators, Wolverine got into place, and the doors opened, there were people in there, so he started screaming and wagging his claws.
At the convention, I registered and then went to the Game Room. Last year, it was a circle of games with 4 projecters in a circle. This year, there were 4 projecters on the wall, and then sections for each system. Every TV used was donated by Best Buy (Sponser) and were HDTV Widescreen Displays. Awesomeness. There was a small lan in the back too. I found Rich and everyone playing Soul Caliber 3. I then left the room only to find James, Vinny, and thier friend Jen. I'm glad I met Jen, she is awesome. Anyways, at 9, we went to go watch Battle Royale. If I had to put the movie into one word, it would be: AWESOME. The movie Rocked! The convention had gotten a shitty copy that skipped though. Anyways, the movie is about a group of Japanese students who are going on a field trip. Then, they're bus gets gassed, and they are transported onto a deserted island to participate in the "Battle Royale", ridding of useless individuals. They have to kill each other. Then, the last scene starts, and we're all waiting to see the ending, when the disc skips, and goes right to the credits. People who had seen it start laughing, but all us who wanted to see it started rioting. The room was in chaos. WE WERE FUCKING PISSED. Rich ran out like an emo bitch.
We played some more Soul Caliber, then me and Glenn went to the 'Rave'. Jen and James went too. When we got there, there were like.. tucked in undershirt guys with glasses swaying. LOLZ. So, Glenn and Rich came and started Seizuring on the ground. One kid raced over thinking they were dieing, and some weird shit started hitting them with glowsticks. We cracked up. Some guy was sleeping, so I woke him up.
Then, we went to go play Apples to Apples, which is an awesome Pop Culture card game. It was hillarious. Then, we went to our hotel room around 2 AM. We watched Futurama. Then No one would go to sleep, because the curtains are light sensitive. "Close the red curtain" *Gets Up* *Notices there isn't a red curtain* "There is no fucking red curtain James!". That continued with a-many fart and Chicken Butt jokes.
Saturday Morning, I left early to catch X-Men, only to see that I missed it, so I went into the Game Room and played Counter-Strike. After an hour, I went to go play Apples to Apples, which lasted about 4 hours. After that, I found Vinny and he went to enter the Uber Webcomic Challenge for Come-Di-Ty. They lost Halo 2, but won the whole thing. Rich is not the Dead of Alive CT champ, and Nate is the SC3 CT Champ. I'm just Ethan. I went to the Dealer's room and bought pocky and some drink that you have to apply pressure to the ball in the cap to open it. I saw Neil at some point and took a picture of him. Then, I went to the masquerade, but they all took me to see Glenn sword fight. He won. Then, we went to the hotel room and ordered pizza. The guy showed up at the hotel room around half an hour later. Great Pizza. Then, we went back and went to the rave/games/a2a/random walking. At 2, we decided to go and play Monopoly Star Wars. Glenn won that.
At the Hotel Room, more jokes occured. Then we all slept.
Sunday Morning, checkout was at 11, and we all woke up at 10:20. We raced to clean the room and check out, then put all the stuff in Nate's car. At the con, we watched a surprise screening of X2. Then, Glenn and I went to go watch the X-Cartoons, but no one was there. So, we ate there, and then I went to the Dealers Room. Here's what I bought: Pocky, Captain Aizen figure, Wolverine Statue, Bleach DS for the Nintendo DS (Import from Japan), and an Apple Geeks shirt (The Applegeeks Guys are awesome. Zach Ross has the same shirt).
