[There is definitely something off about the plague doctor today. First, he was a bit suspicious of the pumpkins, though found them rather pleasant and curiously well-made. Then he thought he caught a glimpse of one of the old villagers faces on one, but quickly moved on and tried to block it out of his mind

[Well this is different. Tammy stands a bit away from Malkus and watches as he has his little freak out. She's got a pumpkin tucked under her arm. The face on it isn't hers, but rather of a forlorn looking female. She's wearing a black backpack and something of a vaguely-amused expression.]

Not a fan of squash? Or the art of carving?

[Malkus brushes a bit more of pumpkin bits off of him, trying to recall what the note had said.]

Sixteen days hence... That was a few days ago...So-... The twenty eighth?

[Tammy calculates it, figuring that the day she arrived was the same as the day she left. Or something like that, this could all get really confusing really quickly.]

So...a little over a week from now?

Yes, I'd say so. Still quite a variety of costumes available, though! You've got plenty of time.

Guess I'll have to try and find the clothier then.

Indeed! I may be able to assist you in finding it sometime, if you'd like. I remember being quite lost here, myself. It's easy enough to remember, as long as you avoid the forest and deep-lake!

...why should we avoid the forest and deep-lake?

Creatures, Miss. The forest holds a towering goliath that may or may not have toppled a tree over just a week or two ago. And as for the lake, although I have seen nothing of the sort, Jack tells stories of a kraken. Some foul tentacled beast roaming beneath the waters.

So a big guy who doesn't like trees, and a possible kraken. And by Jack you mean that guy that was in full pirate outfit, right?

[She seems to recall Malkus mentioning him a few moments ago.]

Yes'm. He's the one! A bit of a erm-...

[He looks over his shoulder before lowering his voice to a rough whisper.]

A bit of a drunk, though... But a very good captain!

[Imagine that, a drunken pirate. Probably sails on a wet sea too. Tammy's smiling.]

Is he still a captain if he doesn't have a ship?

He has a ship! It's just-... We are working on getting it back. It's drifted out to sea-...lake at the moment and he doesn't want me to get eaten by the tentacle monster.

[At this Tammy seems intrigued, but almost grudgingly so.]

Does he have any plans on how to get it back?

I er-... Well. I'm not certain he does yet, but we are working on it! And when we do, it will be fantastic. It's a rather nice ship!

[She's smiling again, but there's an uncertain wariness in her eyes, as if she's anticipating something.]

Fantastic, huh? The plan, or the ship?

The ship! I admit, I have not seen many ships but this one is great. It floats and... Travels over the water, rather well! As for the plan... I uh... I am not certain what is going to happen but it will be a clever scheme!
