[OH GOD- wait-...Something tells Malkus that this journal isn't a regular book like it seems. Could it be his memory?

He narrows his eyes, focusing in on these interesting scribbles. No. Not scribbles. When he reads them he can hear himself sounding them out in his head? Words?]

[Good question, stranger. This causes Malkus to think. Without even realizing it, the doctor seems to have drawn a few scenes from before he even arrived at this place. Though, of course, there wasn't actually a giant black cloud monster eating all of his friends. Deadly, nonetheless.]

[Malkus had expected something to show up on his journal but not a friendly little figure like this! In his haste to respond with a smile, he activates the video function.

You can see a long beaked bird mask staring down at the paper as he scribbles a tiny smiley face in response.]

He doodles up another stick man, this time with I like your beak and drawngs" written next to it. Gosh, his handwriting is atrocious.]

[As his memory returns, this language of text and words become clearer. Malkus reaches towards his face to touch his mask for a moment, quickly realizing he's got a face underneath it. It is a pretty nice beak, isn't it?]
