He's having a hard time balancing this heap of what appear to be botany based books. He even comes within inches of letting everything collapse, here and there. W-Well, you see. I had recently promised a young resident here that I would help educate her in the ways of reading and writing. I just would like to teach her more about things- I mean.. Yes, being able to read is nice but it would be wasted if you did not have much to read! There's plenty to teach a student, but I'm afraid I have no idea where I would begin.

Reading and writing are most important, definitely and I was lucky enough to be educated in both.

To get an education where I'm from, you either have to be born into the wizarding bloodline or be immensely lucky. I was immensely lucky.

Oooh... aha- pardon. One never really gets used to hearing about the lands of others. This speak of bloodlines and everything, I couldn't imagine how lucky you must have felt. What do you suggest would be the next step in teaching, down from the two most important then? Any ideas are very much appreciated.

The diseases I try to treat were very infectious. About as contagious as they can get, and the mask served as a kind of filtering system to keep the bad air out. Ideally, the plague-causing bad spirits would go into the mask rather than into my face.
