[There is definitely something off about the plague doctor today. First, he was a bit suspicious of the pumpkins, though found them rather pleasant and curiously well-made. Then he thought he caught a glimpse of one of the old villagers faces on one, but quickly moved on and tried to block it out of his mind

Not a fan of squash? Or the art of carving?

What? Oh. No. I mean, I'm quite fond of these little artworks. Seems you are, too? It's just- I would prefer that this particular bit of vegetation were to be eh-... not around. Or visible.

You have to admit it's some pretty damned detailed art. I usually stopped at the two triangles and the toothy grin.
[She eyes the remains of his pumpkin.]
So what's your beef with that one?

[He blinks, glancing down at his pumpkin before looking back up at her. If she looked a bit closer, she'd see a faint trace of one of the doctors eyes peeking out of the lens. It's almost identical to the scrap of pumpkin-face that's nearest to her.]
It was a rather... grotesque face. Must have been a demon of some sort, or something. To scare the younger residents. Did not wish to have the children afraid of anything..

Do you do this often? Smashing pumpkins?

No, not quite. That was the first time, to be honest. Hopefully the last. My apologies, though. I am Malkus Iverwelling.
[He does a quick, small bow before mushing at the pumpkin with his feet.]

You know you look really weird doing that, right, Bird Face?
[He could use your name, sure, but this is more amusing.]

Bird face... This is good. This means one would connect the mask to his face, rather than question his ACTUAL face. Exactly as he would want it.]
I suppose so, but erm- This lantern. It would have been best to never have carved it in the first place. I've fixed that, though.
[He nods, triumphantly.]

[Fixed it real good.
But hey. He was really getting into that destruction. Ezra wonders whose face it could have been. And the best way to find out? Asking.]
Who was carved into that one? You must really hate them. [A pause.] Or maybe you're scared of them.

[Does he have a problem with saying it was himself? Too late for Ezra to see it, anyways! Pumpkins all smashed...]
I suppose you can say it is hate. Or shame. Either one, really. Perhaps both, but anyways... Have you found yours, or any who are familiar? There seem to be quite a lot.
