You speak as if you could know what is to occur - I would find it hard to believe that one who runs so deserately from their past could know so much of his future.
I fail to see what help a thief could offer, considering the circumstances.
You are beyond the boundaries of not only Archadia but also the world we both are familiar with, Dr. Cidoflus Demen Bunansa… It seems that Fate has finally torn another soul from the lands I know as Ivalice.
Another soul that none of us expected to convene with again…
I suppose I should not be surprised to see you here, Judge Magister Gabranth - there seem to be a great many from Ivalice stranded in whatever plane upon which we now find ourselves. Has your young charge found a place among them too, I wonder?
You have been speaking with Ffamran? He too, spoke as though I had passed from the land of the living. I can assure you, however, that I am very much alive.
All those who played an important hand in our self-righteous crusade for the sake of the Empire, no less…
However, we are missing a few key players upon this awkward stage that been set by Fate’s droll humor. What say you, Doctor Cidolfus? Are you not just another wayward soul who has unfortunately crossed over from purgatory and into a fitting Hell?
You are supposed to be dead, Doctor. You, who was slain by his son upon the top level of Pharos, dead because of his interference with your ploy to activate the Bahamut using the Sun Cryst that sat nearby, upon a pedestal once carved by the Gods themselves.
I know nothing of the events of Pharos, as they have yet to unfold to my own recollection. I would ask you limit your talk of my own fate - I shall have none of it. My goal has long been to break the Occurian chains that bind our fates to their whims; for a man to know his own future is equally restricting.
Surely I have not been torn from purgatory, as I am yet living in my Ivalice.
Instead, I ask to know who else has been brought here. I can only surmise that our latest Emperor has not yet found his way here.
Oh? So the princess of Dalmasca is here in Discedo. Splendid!
And still you resist the commands of the gods and reject their gifts! My lady, your strength lends well to our plan, to the freedom of man!
I ask only that you stay your blade, and leave the Sun Cryst - to squander such a plentiful source of mist would be a terrible waste!
Of course, it matters little so long as we both are entrapped by this strange land, however, I do not plan to linger here. No, there is far too much to be accomplished, and time is so fleeting for one who cannot escape the wear of the ages.
Sacrifice is necessary, when faced with the prospect of greatness. If we are to free man from the bonds that tie him to the Occurian rule, no life is too precious. Could they comprehend what its loss would mean for those they left behind, they would surely understand its necessity!
If you speak of the Deifacted Nethicite, you will realize the error of your ways, Princess of Dalmasca! It is the power given to those selected by the Occuria, a sign of their will and hold over us. That is not to say that it does not have its uses...
But, the Manufacted Nethicite is our blade, with which to cut our own path! It is a symbol of our strength and knowledge, and our ability to rule our own fates!
Your change in priorities is a curious one, though with all this talk of crossed timelines... I would ask, Ashelia B'Nargin Dalmasca, from what point in time you hail from?

Can you not even stay dead?

However, based on your recent activity, it would seem that you would fly for even the tiniest trinket.
Surely you did not think that our meeting at Draklor would be the end of me, Ffamran.

Oh you're not in Ivalice any more. And your precious Venat, toys and Nethecite won't help you in this place.
Pity you estranged all family otherwise you might find someone inclined to lend a hand.

I do not suppose there is any information you can offer me on this 'Discedo'?

My efforts then, for the moment, would be better spent on finding an exit from this plane.

Your nethicite, your Occuria - neither have any meaning in this place, nor any hold over me.

I have no need to seek out the Sun Cryst, not any longer. My priorities have changed.
