See, this is why I don't like Apples. You have to rely on softwear to get your disk out for you, rather than a mechanical thing. I feel (and perhaps I'm just a Luddite) that softwear is more likely to fail than mechanical things. Yeah, yeah, moving parts are bad...maybe I'm just getting old again. I mean still.

I agree that it wouldn't kill them to put a freaking button on the thing, though in this case I'm reasonably sure that the problem is at least partly mechanical, given that it began with a cat rather than a download.

Really I view the decision to get a Mac as the decision to put up with the occasional crippling problem rather than constant nagging ones. It's a tradeoff.
