The Eleventh Hour Was Now

Apr 04, 2015 11:03

I know that LJ has seen busier days, especially in this particular quadrant. But I woke up this morning and it suddenly hit me that this Saturday (today) marks five years since The Eleventh Hour was broadcast! Five years ago, I (and loads of other people) sat in my/our _____room(s) in anticipation of this exciting event, new Doctor, new writer, complete mystery (all right, not really, what with the internet and all). And then proceeded to read through the 1000+ comment threads in here, all happily gushing over how amazing it was, how impressive Matt, Karen, and Arthur were. I could say that things were so much shinier and better then, but truthfully, they were just different (all right, a small part of me believes that they were perhaps a bit shinier or else why would I bother to post mega, nostalgic feels all over the place?). And five (years) is an important number (okay, not precisely but multiples of five are always given special significance when remembering stuff) so why not commemorate it in some small way?

At any rate, I am going to stop rambling and go watch it now because how could I not? I will try not to sniffle too much over my brunch in the process.

If anyone else wants to share their feels here or to reminisce, I will happily flail with join you!

the eleventh hour, rory williams, fangasm, is this real life?, series 5, arthur darvill, everything is beautiful & nothing hurts, karen's hair is to die for, all the feelings, amy pond, matt's epic hair, karen gillan
