I just finished reading The Name of the Wind, by Patrick Rothfuss.  Wow!  It's a sword-and-sorcery epic (although that hardly does it justice) that centers around a half-mythical hero by the name of Kvothe.  Only you don't find out that he's a legend until after you've met him doing his day-to-day work, mopping the floors and polishing the bar at
