Hon, you've got like half a dozen mutual friend who are members, surely one of them knows you well enough to vouch for you?

Honestly? All the LJ friends I have that are connected with this community are people I met through the community...

I wouldn't worry about it, really. We're hoping to get to everyone eventually, and looking at your profile, you don't seem to be in any danger of not rejoining soon enough.

I'd like to think we're making slow but steady progress ;)

If I were you, I'd see if I had any mutual friends who've already rejoined and ask them to vouch for me. Otherwise, it's a matter of waiting till one of your friends' mutual friend vouches for them, and then they vouch for you. It's kind of like a particularly excruciating pyramid scheme. Likely more excruciating for me than for you...

Right now the way it works is that the invites come from within the community, so if I were you, I'd ask one of my friends who have already rejoined to vouch for me. Once they do, I can send you an invite.
