My legal research-fu fails me

It seems the swine at Jacobs Realty were able to hide the eviction and lien because they were never filed under Ranada's name, they were filed under mine and I was never even on the lease. I'm no Perry Mason, but isn't that illegal?

If you weren't on the lease disgruntledgrrl August 29 2011, 18:57:30 UTC
Then you can't be responsible for the property.

An apt complex has dinged my credit pretty bad because I refused to pay $650 to replace the carpets.
After 5 years - they replace the carpets. Kevin lived there for 6 years. He did not have to pay for new carpets.
But when I moved in later, my name went on the lease and technically lived there for only 4 years.
:(

Some clarification is needed here - first of all, hide it from who? You, the government, law enforcement, aunt becky twice removed that's maybe going to lean you money? Second of all, to what end? Are you seeking some kind of retribution, because it would seem to me that NOT having an eviction/lien on record otherwise is pretty much to YOUR advantage no matter what. You're already out of there, nothings going to change that or bring that back. Not having it appear on record only helps you ( ... )

The more of a paper trail you can bring, the better. If Ranada has paperwork also, that will help.
