My brother has friends in WA state who have a cabin way up in a National Park (grandfathered in). They have electricity, running water (always running, coming from a pipe fed into a stream on the hill); they heat it by running it through a pipe in the wood stove. It's very peaceful and can be handed down to their children some day. We cooked ( Read more... )

Our faithful companion of 17 years; no longer fit to travel in do to an exploding overhang, but starting a new life as a temp shelter for battered women on Long Island! Mazeltov!

Some bun picks: the first two are of a bun in our back yard who was sheltering in my garden during the hot days. The next bun is on the FL front lawn of my old boss and the last bun is on the WA state front lawn of my brother and sis-in-law.
