but on another note so guys when the "make you cough" at you well male check ups what exactally do they do to you?

I'm not a guy, but I can answer that question: it's to check for an inguinal hernia. The practitioner inserts his/her finger into the inguinal canal to check for hernias, masses, etc. The patient is asked to cough or "bear down" because this increases intra-abdominal pressure. If there is a concealed hernia, it will "present" itself. If this is not a good enough answer or explanation, then google it...but, I warn you, there are some pretty graphic images out there.
