It isn't a seal.

[Helpful, isn't he?]

Hi. How do you do. It's nice to meet you. Lovely weather we're having. I'm year of the Dragon, howzabout you?

And thank you for the info.

[You're only getting gentle amusement back.]

Hello, I'm well. My name is Mamoru Takatori; pleased to meet you. It is lovely weather, isn't it. Year of the Rooster.

And you're welcome.

[See, being friendly isn't so hard.]

I'm Sokka. Can only hope the weather stays this lovely.

I keep hearing the word 'Pokemon' tossed around. Gotta definition handy?

[He's just not properly whelmed by your sarcasm.]

Mmh. I suppose the simplest definition is that Pokémon are a category of sentient wildlife that form the foundation of this world's human lifestyles. They understand human speech, and will offer companionship and protection to the person with whom they bond.

[MAYBE ANOTHER TIME.]

Sentient wildlife?

So no eating, huh?

That would be correct.

As I understand it, they taste terrible anyway. Edible meat is available at most city markets.

Which would be great, if I had any money. This place wouldn't take gold pieces even if I had any left, yeah?

You should have a little money on your person now. It looks like this.

[He takes out his wallet and removes some Pokémoney to display for the camera.]

[Mamoru almost chuckles.]

It is mysterious, isn't it? But that's how it is. It's probably best not to complain about things that benefit you.

Well, sometimes, complaining is good for helping you organize thoughts and get 'em in order, so I can't just stop complaining.

I'm guessing there's been nothing done to lessen the mysteriousness, huh?

Complaining is your only method for organizing thoughts? That is unfortunate, isn't it?

If you manage to solve any of the strange questions of this world, I'm sure the community would be interested in hearing.

Unfortunate for my sister, maybe, but it's never bothered me, y'know?

[He laughs at that.]

Yeah, I guess. I'm a problem-solvey kinda guy, all right, but I'm guessing I wouldn't be the first to try.

Perhaps they've simply lacked your own brand of cleverness.

I can't tell if you're being nice or patronizing, so I'm just gonna go with the answer I like better. Is this you wishing me luck?
