Fuck you, USA. Getting your asses handed to you by the Czech Republic. You make me sick.

It's apparently official - 0-3 Czech.

The Czechs are ranked second worldwide. It's not exactly shameful to lose to such a team.

Fifa rankings are the worst rankings ever and make less sense than... well anything.

When the US loses 4-0 to Germany and goes UP (it was 6 after that game they were ranked 5).

We can also point out that until today when Czech beat the US they haven't beaten ANYONE of significance since '04. They've tied at best and lost most of their games.

Czech is a good team. No questions. They're prone to going on tears, and if this is the case they could win the WC, but never trust FIFA rankings. Except that Brazil actually is #1 in the world. That is true.

The US is good, but I also don't buy that they're 5th in the world when they can't beat Jamaca.

Everyone should be a huge soccer fan. It's like a sin against the soccer gods (the only gods that matter, other than the alcohol gods that is) to NOT be a huge soccer fan.

I like soccer, I love baseball. I know its a slow sport, but I like it that way. Back to roommate stories...she used to play, I think she would have played college level, but she had her ACL replaced her senior year of highschool. She's a pretty swell gal...haha, swell gal.

Oh it doesn't, but it was still a kick ass game. Neither team is going to do anything past that first game... but it was an awesome first game.

Fifa rankings are actually made based on individual prowess of team players, thus, a team can be ranked high but still lose games. For overall ratings of the teams themselves, just look at the last wc. Aka, brazil & argentina wipe the field clean with everyone else's ass. everyone else can suck it.
i heart soccer hardcore. i'm on game 7 in my own league and thus far my team is 3rd of 15, so im excited. i'm the youngest one in the league, which sort of sucks, but we kick ass, so oh well.

Um.... In the last world cup Argentina didn't make it out of the first round.

No, seriously Fifa's rankings blow more monkey balls than anything. There's no way that the US is the fifth best team in the world. I can think of about 10 that would beat them 9 times out of 10 matches.

A team that chokes everytime they play is not good. Even if on paper they should be better. Paper never matters in soccer, except in confetti form.

With all that said, enjoy your soccer league. I'd totally be playing with my cousins if I didn't have bunk knees. :(
