It's everyone's favorite time . . . episode recap with my crappy, disjointed notes!

The episode starts off just how I like it, Mac Taylor in a Tux, running down an armed suspect and securing him with a plastic bag he just takes from the garbage can! How awesome is Mac Taylor? Lottsa awesome!

The setting: Manhattan museum restoration fundraiser. Hosted by the Deputy Mayor, Stewart Kaplin.

There, Robert Dunbrook. Publisher of The Ledger. Gives the charity a million dollars. However the Deputy Mayor ends up dead (oh noes!) A big problem here is The blue flu, 40% are out. Apparently since there is a budget crisis there is a temp pay lag for NY's finest and it's hitting everyone hard.

Gill Westin is the Deputy mayor's brother in law. Jake Kaplin (13) the Deputy Mayor's son is missing. Adam finds him, and is completely adorable with him. Brandon Walsh is Stella's date and a firefighter nice work Stella, boy is fine.

So far Mac doesn't seem to care about the plight of the officers, though he will not be pleased that Danny walked out on a crime scene. If Reagan is his hero he's not going to be too fond of striking workers, since Reagan broke the air traffic controllers strike back in the 80's. <--- that was my prediction half way through the episode, I honestly thought Mac would be pissed about Danny leaving the crime scene. But later he tells Dunbrook that he. . . "Respect anyone who stands behind their convictions."

Danny, what the hell man?! Danny is suppose to testify but Hawkes has to step in since Danny is "sick", he doesn't approve of Danny's absence. The case was thrown out because Danny couldn't show up to court.

Come from a family of cops? <--- Danny

Follow the Money. Jake could have murdered his father?
Commissioner of renovation and construction, apparently all his charities were a fraud and he was pocketing the money for himself.

Are Mac and the Deputy Inspector ???

ADAM has OCD?! Reaction formation.

Personal information for Mac: Coffee black, one sugar in the Raw.

Hahaha a check for 20 million dollars. Robert Dunbrook bailing out the NYPD. Is "The Coach" going to be a reoccurring character? Knowing how these clowns (much respect) write I doubt it.
