There is this marvelous little invention called a laptop that permits me to not only stay in bed but check my emails as well. Rest assured I am relaxing, Detective.
This will come up around review time and when she comes back from leave. As of now I see no problem with the two of you having some days off together.
It's my understanding that the department frowns on all types of relationships because of the chaos they can cause. No one wants families in the NYPD to suffer, least of all me.
Of course the problem with this is that it's punishing us for being married and starting a family. I know it's policy and not your personal decision, but it still only officially causes a problem for my family because we are the only married members of the crime lab, at least as far as I know. While the department may frown on the relationships, the policy only affects those with legal relationships, unless I'm reading that wrong.

Thanks for the heads up, Mac. I'll be sure to remember that.
How's Peyton doing? I thought about stopping by after shift, but I figured she probably needs her rest for a few days before she has visitors.
Thanks,
Stella
ooc: I'm sorry if we annoyed you with our work issue. I figured since it was an issue related to work, it wouldn't be a problem.
Since NYPD regulation stipulates different shifts only for married couples/couples with children, not simply couples that are dating I'm going to assume this doesn't affect Stella and Sheldon's new verse, and of course Don doesn't work in the lab, so it wouldn't be an issue.
Peyton is doing fine, thank you for asking. I am sure she would appreciate an email or a phone call.

ooc: Considering my vision is limited and I'm about to stick my head in the oven, I feel that it is not in my best interest to answer this ooc comment at this time.

First and second are noted, but the third doesn't really affect me.
I'll need to flip flop on the 9th and take the evening shift, I have an appointment I need to be at that morning that I can't miss. Hopefully that won't be a problem but if it is, let me know and I'll see what I can do to reschedule.

Laptop? Never heard of it. You'll have to show me. Anything I should pick up?

Sure, I can do that but I can't leave my bed, doctors orders. You'll have to come into the bedroom to see it.
Nothing for me, just you.

Hmmm, this seems like a trap. Only someone full hearty and brave would attempt this daring feat. I think I'll risk it.
I'll be there shortly.

A flip flop will be acceptable. I'll consider this your written notification of the switch and change it on the schedule.
