He was meticulous in his planning. Dinner was perfect, set at the restaurant they had their first official date at. An Italian eatery that had good wine and candle light complete with live music if patrons were lucky. Mac liked the place because it wasn't so loud. When sitting across from the most beautiful woman in all of New York he wanted to ( Read more... )

Mac Taylor didn't have to persuade her much to get out of the house. Five pieces of IKEA furniture and a dozen plus crossword books later, Peyton was all for getting out and doing something different. "I do spoil you," he replied with a big smile, "but you deserve it." Leaning down he stole a very soft kiss from her lips, and then pulled back, lingering for a moment more. Mac wasn't big on PDA but there was a time and a place for everything and on a romantic cruise at night with his wife to be he couldn't think of a better time.

Her head tilted, smiling with her eyes the way he loved and accepted his kiss. He sacrificed alot of little things for her, to which she adored him that much more for. Even for things he wasn't big on, he did anyways, because he knew that she loved it.

Settling close into his side, she turned her gaze up to him with an almost shocked look. "What's not to like about having a delicious dinner with you and then have it followed by this amazing surprise?" she looked out beyond the boat then back to him with a smile. "I don't just like it, Mac.." she spoke while pulling a hand up to frame half his face. "I love it."

She had such a beautiful smile, and the way her dark hair framed her face made her that much more beautiful. There was some people Mac could stand not looking at ever again, but he could spend all of eternity looking at her. Even when she was dirty from the hospital. As the boat pulled away from the pier he reached out and tucked some hair behind her ear.

"Well I thought you could do with some better company," he teased her with a slow smile. Leaning forward, he kissed her forehead lightly and closed his eyes to take a brief moment to thank God that she had come back to him. "I hope you enjoy the rest of your evening as well. This is your night."
