There was a bag on the bed, half filled with clothes, carefully folded and arranged like one of his drawers. A mini version of a piece of home that he could take with him. She was in the middle of mentally noting what else she needed to bring when she felt his strong hand on her hip and his lips on her bare shoulder. She smiled, her eyes slowly turning to the side and then up to him as she turned into his arms.

He was what she needed.

She moved slowly, taking a few minutes to apply the words in the song to them while gazing up into those amazingly handsome eyes of his; the ones she could easily get lost in time and time again.

"I love you, Mac."

He chuckled at her words and put his cheek against the top of her head, holding her close and simply swaying in time with the music. "I think you're just saying that," he teased her softly before letting his eyes close.

She settled into his chest nicely, her cheek resting against his shoulder. Even though moments like this were happening more often then when they both worked, Peyton still felt equally blessed for the time shared with her fiance.

"You're right," she teased, turning her face into his neck while laying a kiss just under his lobe. "I'm lying.."

"It's not nice to tease the vulnerable old man," he told her softly before moving her out of the kitchen and toward the couch - since he did promise her unspeakable acts on the couch and he didn't want to be mean and disappoint.
