I'm not a fan of standing up while typing, but this will have to do for now, because I am too fucking lazy to roll up an exercise ball and jury-rig a make-shift desk.

I am feeling more and more of an impulse to get active again, work out, get some damn exercise. The issue of course, is that it is far easier to say such things than actually follow ( Read more... )

Other than the fact that I have no money, I am totally up for helping out. It will give me the impetus to keep going as well. We should talk workout stuff, plus we should just talk in general.

Here's an alternate take on exercise, the way I roll: I hate wasting the time that I spend exercising. So, I will run on the elliptical for 50 minutes while watching a TV show that I've been meaning to catch up on (because just sitting and watching it is a waste of time too), or read a Kindle book, whatever. I NEED TO MULTITASK.

I'm also someone who definitely does NOT want buddies when I'm working out though. Still, if you get to a point where you're wanting to alternate activities, MY WAY IS AWESOME.

Weight training:

Start with chest muscles (bench presses and variations thereof)
Then-
2. Shoulders (military press and variations thereof)
3. Back (rowing & c.)
4. Triceps
5. Biceps (curls & c.)
6. Abs (sit ups & c.)

Three sets of twelve reps (with no more than two minutes recovery between reps).

Remember: EXhale while you EXert.
