I'm in DC for the AWP annual conference, which is a three and a half day schmooze fest for writers and teachers of writing. The thing is, this is the first time I'm here without and agenda. I am not looking for a job nor do I have a book to promote. The former is a very good thing, the latter is a reminder of the stuff I have to do this summer
