Thanks for those links - what a great trip down memory lane!
My brother and I had the bald-head "wig," but it wasn't all it was cracked up to be. Is it ever? My hair was too long and couldn't be tucked into the wig without being really lumpy, so it was usually my brother who got to wear it.
Mom bought some spirit gum from a place near the Sorg Theatre that specialized in theatre supplies and make-up, and when the spirit gum held down the edges of the bald-head wig it really fairly believable.
We were lucky kids. My mom was into Halloween as much (if not moreso) than we were, so she was only too happy to invest in stuff like Hollywood Monster make-up kits. And my brother was more than happy to let me, my sister and my Mom use ten pots of green cream eyeshadow on his body to make him look like the Incredible Hulk.
