Heh, I actually have an account with Blogger, never got around to actually "blogging". I never really considered LJ to be my "blog" in the sense that perfect strangers would stumble on my terribly interesting life and hang around. A built-in social networking mechanism ("Friends" lists, etc) tended to distinguish this place from most blogs, in my experience. Plus, the desire to control both the horizontal and the vertical, as Charles so aptly described it. LJ has had a huge impact on my life, no doubt about it, but I think I'm ready to move on, personally and professionally (blogs are good for the résumé :D).
