Food for thought: recently, it was announced that all male cops would be removed from traffic duty in Lima, since they were too corrupt to handle it responsibly, always asking for bribes. from now on, traffic cops are exclusively female. i don't use my real paper journal much anymore -- mostly when i'm on trips and stuck on a plane or in a bus station for a while and take advantage of the opportunity to write, or when i'm feeling crappy and lonely and confused and need to purge some negative thoughts. Time is just flying by! Last week the coffeeshop turned 5 months old, a few days before David and I celebrated our 3rd anniversary. 3 years. Dang. It's hard to believe how much we've been through in those three years. I was 19 when we met, and i'm about to turn 23 in a week and a half.
