There's something I've always loved about the word "jackass." I've always felt that liberal and judicious use makes you seem a bit older and wiser, and gets the knowing nod of others that have joined that secret club... that secret club that gets you $2 warm Budweisers at the Elks lodge, or the right to talk about your eczema with strangers, or 10 ( Read more... )

How does it rate if I use it on you instead? Like, say, if I've left you a message because we can't print Lorna's homework, and instead of calling back, you're updating Twitter and LJ, so I call you a jackass? Is that still funny? ;)

Hm. That still makes it an adjective... although, it way more descriptive than in its noun form, for sure. It think it'd be fun to make a verb and conjugate though..

I jackass
You jackass
He/She jackasses
We jackass
You jackass
They jackass

Was that the Necro brothers?

If it is, I can't imagine them saying that... they're not nearly old enough!

As tastey as it is, I refuse to say "Moon Over My Hammy" and just point to it on the menu. Why? Because saying that makes me feel like a jackass.

*laughs* Aha! Proper use and context and everything! It warms the heart!

And remember, just for using it, you very well may get 10% off the dish-that-shall-not-be-named. Congrats!

I may need to go to Denny's now. The IHOP version, while not embarrassing to say to the server, isn't quite as tasty as the Denny's sillier named version.

There's something so harsh about it... probably since both syllables end so roughly... plus I just associate it with cranky old men in John Deere hats. It's so fun to say!
