We as humans never seem to do what is best for us. We always seem to take the wrong path and make the wrong decisions. This is, as I believe because of our constant use of our hearts in making decisions instead of using our brains. Why do we do this when our brain tells us something different? It is because for some reason, the line goes, "Follow ( Read more... )

Neiter the brain nor the heart can make a good decision; humans are irrational!! since we can neither accept pure knowledge or pure compassion, we settle for equilibrium, some of us more than others.

pure knowledge demands that we all be dead due to our bacteria-like affect on the world around us.

pure compassion demands that squander our money, starve to death for eating animals and everybody have loads of STD's.

since when does anybody know what's best *Nickcough* for anybody??

our emotions usually get the best of us. that's why we make rash decisions.

yeah i see what you're saying.

we should make our decisions taking account for our mind AND our heart.

loneliness is a part of life's journey. how would we know how great it is to be loved without experiencing loneliness?

We just have to do the best we can.

I never see you much anymore. That makes me sad.

I agree that no one always does what's best for them, but maybe that's just part of life, part of being human?

So maybe I've made a few mistakes, and maybe if I'd thought it through and analyzed it and everything I would have made smarter decisions. And it's not like I've never been lonely before. But i think you'd go crazy always trying to make all the right decisions all the time, and always worrying about having someone "with" you so you're not "lonely." (like my use of quotes? beautiful. i know.) I know you didn't mean it to be that extreme- it just comes off that way to me.

And i definitely agree that if you only look at one aspect of something- just the head or the heart, you'll probably end up regretting the decision.

But i'm kind of a deal-with-it-as-it-comes and make the best of what you have person. and my views probably aren't welcome right now. =)
