Help for the Ignorant

I got a £10 gift voucher for Amazon.co.uk and after spending forever trying to find things that's be really good and worth and I'd love to death I've come up with three films: The Basketball Diaries, Everything Is Illuminated and Nell. It's based on actors I love, Leonardo Di Caprio, Elijah Wood and Jodie Foster. It was so hard to narrow it down

I say skip Everything is Illuminated in movie form (though I love Liev, his adaptation just does not cut it!) and buy the book instead. It's by Jonathan Safran Foer and it's amazing!

No, I don't think you made a mistake. Nell is quite good, Jodie is amazing in it, I wouldn't buy it myself, it's a good movie, but I didn't find it superfantastic. I loved The Basketball Diaries. It's really gorgeous, though kinda incredibly dark, so you need to like that. But that's definetly worth it. And I still have to see Everything Is Illuminated, I can't wait to watch that, so let me know how you liked that one :D
