Indeed, the presumption should be all the opposite way -- burning some books that you personally own is at worst a small-scale fire hazard, requiring a permit for an incendiary display. Tearing down a building and erecting a new one in an urban business district might legitimately be a concern of government.

Both acts are exactly what they are, provocations to aid or influence an end. Both acts are equally offensive and both are equally legal. I'm not going to sit hear and try to rationalize how one is worse, that's silly. On the SAME HAND it's not that Obama got it wrong or that his reaction should have been opposite, it's that his reaction is not equal.

I find it highly insulting that he is very quick to stand up for the 1st amendment rights of muslims and even states that freedom of religion is what our country was founded on, but then completely ignores Rev Jones' free speech (also a 1st amendment issue) and throws the 1st amendment back in Jones' face as if the man was violating the muslim's rights.

He's incoherent

He's a product of a system of institutional victimhood. Reverend Jones is on the side of the oppressors, Imam Whathisface is on the side of the oppressed. Any college freshman could (loudly) point that out to you.
