Today edgemasterchaos showed me a 4chan post of a fractal that supposedly causes seizures/instant death in a manner similar to how flashing lights (like in that Pokemon episode) cause epileptic seizures. The image was "toned down" of course, but if viewed through a "cylindrical object" it may lead to some interesting results.
I tried to find out more and found a short story by David Langford called BLIT about people spray painting this "parrot" image on buildings around their city. There's even a FAQ about it. Unfortunately the FAQ is also a story by the same man. Apparently the FAQ was published in the scientific journal "Nature" in 1988, but also included in a short story compliation along with "BLIT." I guess "Nature" has a fiction section? lol And the fractal was created for the lulz of course.
