Writer's Block: Grimm Question

I can't remember, the exact title of it,but  it was about a girl, with evil stepmother and stepsister,who finds refuge in a house, filled with talking cats.One hundred cats, to be exact, if I remember right.
My other favorite fairy tales, when I was little kid, were The Animal Musicians of Bremen (again with the animals!:)) and The Nightengale.

I remember that tale! My older sister had a truly beautiful book of fairytales, a big hardback with the most exquisite illustrations - I really coveted it as a child. There were tales in there that I've seen nowhere else.

The Nightengale, is a good one,I agree.I just wish, that I could remember, the title of the one, with the girl, and the cats.
