A dusty old shoebox rested in Remus’ lap, filled to the brim with memories of happier times. Empty chocolate frog wrappers, scribbled notes, butterbeer caps, and various other mementos of his life with Sirius all crammed into one box.
Rifling through, finding a diamond stud earring, a weak smile crept across Remus’ face. He hadn’t worn it since that fateful October night. It had meant the world to him, a symbol of the love and devotion they had… have.
Wearing the earring, he felt warmth fill the void in his heart. Sirius would always be with him, veil be damned.
