Just east of Edmonton, so "Central" I guess. Nice little area that got pushed up by the glaciers, so not flat like the prairies (Although they start within spitting distance.) Called the Beaver Hills Moraine, it's full of beaver ponds, hills, and poplar/aspen forest. Just pleasantly rolly, and packed with wildlife...not as beautiful as your home country, but I do like it. The house is a mash-up of two old houses, as you can see by the different roof pitches. It's old, cold, and my wife detests it. Ah well. I'll enjoy it a little while longer I think...
Sounds beautiful. Packed with wildlife is my kind of beauty. We have a fair amount of wild lives here, but it is a shadow, a far cry from what once was. The impact of mass invasion and this new mode of being ever shedding waves. Even some of our key players are gone. It feels empty. Certainly no where near sterile as a painting, but palpable enough. The vast herds of pronghorn and tule elk, and the days when waterfowl blackened the sky and salmon made bridges across the rivers are no more. Maybe, maybe
