Anti-reploids... well, one could say that the mavericks are people who've swapped power sources... hence why Zero powers up when he's infected for a short time...

However, the games depict the virus as simply taking over the cognitive program that gives the reploid a personality, and never really powers them up. At most, it removes restriction programs, as a machine can only grow to be as strong as the physical limits it possesses, even a sentient machine-being like a Reploid.

However, the idea of reploids existing by using the same manner, or frequency, of energy as these viruses that can exist outside of a physical body for a short time, or in Sigma's case, indefinitely until it finds a new host... Is a curious one. I would like to chat a bit more about that.
