Fun Things?

What do you do in the evenings that doesn't need any planning time? My husband is tired of watching tv and I'm kind of tired of watching movies. Most of the card and board games at home require more than 2 people. I'm out of ideas.

tv, movies

There are some two-player video games, even some silly Wii Fit games that are fun for two. Youngest and I have sometimes pulled those out for a fun break when we're feeling stir-crazy on a super-cold night.

Scrabble can be a fun two-person game. So can some wargames but you need to be "in to" those.

Mike puts models together for his wargaming while I read a book or we watch a TV show together, although our evenings together are few and/or short since he works until 8:30pm. We also watch some "Great Courses" DVDs together for a 30-minute to 1 hour mind stretching bit of fun. You can sometimes find these for loan at local libraries.

Good luck!

I've never heard of the "Great Courses" series. Sounds like fun!

Read to each other. I would love to have someone read to me so we could both enjoy a book and some of my fondest memories are of reading together in previous relationships.

I think I had a Pogo membership once upon a time. I never got into the battle card games but Hearthstone looks like it's kind of neat!

Someday my husband will either have someone repair the HDMI on the tv or finally decide on a new one to get and then we'll have the PS3 available again. Can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to that!
