Perfect fall weather this weekend. Cool temperatures, windy, and sunny. Sammy's last radiation treatment was Friday. Overall he's feeling better and is walking better too. He does have periods of time where he lifts his left rear leg up because he doesn't want to use it. Today was the first day in weeks in which he spent time under the bed ( Read more... ) -
The Country
My mother turns 75 this week. I decided to visit and stay the night. Not sure if it was the dark room while watching a movie ior just the chance to sit for a long period of time, but I was starting to fall asleep at 9:30pm.
When I went to bed it was one of the darkest rooms ever, between the blackout curtains and no streetlights.

I had quite the day of TLC from my parents. They came by around 12:30pm for lunch. We went to a local bar which claims to have the best Italian subs in the neighborhood. My dad and I had the subs. My mother had a chef's salad ( Read more... ) -

Do they create muffin tops? Or is it just me? Or is the size I bought too small? -
Walking
It was such a nice day I decided to skip the gym. I went to Whetstone Park of Roses and explored a little bit of the Olentangy Trail today. It was so relaxing to hear the birds and the nearby flowing water.

Volunteering
I don't know if I mentioned it or not, but I'm training to be a volunteer at the local area humane society. The smallest animal they've helped rehome is a goldfish; the largest animal is a horse. Looking forward to when I get to spend time walking the dogs!

Quick Updates
I managed to call (1) a guy about painting our original to the house storm windows and (2) someone about getting rid of a rusting and warping railing on the side door. Got lots of weeding done. It rained a lot today so I didn't get to work on the yard anymore today ( Read more... ) -
Neighbors
We saw Neighbors last night. I must say it was better than I thought it would be (I was expecting it to be pretty bad) so I’m sure it helped to have no expectations. My husband thought it had too much frat humor. I thought the movie was very balanced in that it gave the reasons why each side was being a bad neighbor to the other. I wonder though… ( Read more... )
