However, I urge you to remember the Vietnam War before you say we are the most divided now.....even though you said arguably.... oh whatever. I personally think America was much more divided then.

i did take that into consideration. However, I felt that Vietnam was more of a very loud minority. In terms of radicalism and visible conflict, Vietnam definitely has this beat. But just mass, the amount of people opposed to what is going on, I think is bigger now.
It's close though. Hence, the arguably.

But even if it is only Vietnam, thats one time in 150 years... still mind-boggling.

im still waiting to hear what kerry WILL do...and vietnam was much more divided. I think you forget the the fact that the nations opinions should include those of the middle america states and southern. We can forget this because we live in such a politically active and opinionated area..as does most of the coasts...but suprisingly there is still great amounts of support for bush or just neutralism across the country. I havent decided who im going to vote for. I think both candidates have hurt their odds by straying to far away from the independent line.

Im an independent...I cant really understand why people would classify themselves into teams.
