Davi swallowed hard and leaned back in his chair after closing the laptop lid. He closed his eyes, rubbing his temples with one hand. He knew she was going through seven levels of hell right now, with her father passing away and the tension that seemed to being going on with her brothers. He pretended not to notice but there was only so much ( Read more... )

Ren was alright. If she thought it hard enough, it was true. People only broke down when they let themselves, she'd seen that first hand. So long as you told yourself you were okay, or that you soon would be, you'd stay afloat. People only broke because they wanted to break ( ... )

He made his way to Ren's room, head bowed a little, a melancholic look as he slid sideways to pass a pair of girls chattering to themselves as they walked down the hall. There needed to be a guide to women. A guide to relationships.

No wonder some people were willing to pact with spirits. Willing to accept outside bonds and aids and powers to get a boost-up. He sighed inside his head at his ability to think of something like this at this time. Standing outside the door he took a deep breath. It was important that he be calm for her. "Yeah, one sec."

She rolled off the bed, wincing as her torn jeans ripped some more, and stomped over to unlock the door. Opening it a second later, she hung her head in the door frame. Some of her anger (though she wasn't really angry, more annoyed. Frustrated? Apathetic?) melted away at that look in his eyes. Why did he always have to look so fucking understanding? It made being on the outs with him awful hard.

"Hey," Ren greeted flatly as she stepped out of the way to let him in.

"Hey." Davi echoed before stepping into the room, glancing around and then closing the door. She didn't make any comment to that so he clicked it shut. His hands seemed rough as he rubbed them a little, chilled as they were by the brief walk out outdoors. He picked up a jacket dangling at the bottom of her chair and hung it on the back before sitting down in the chair.

He waited, forearms resting on his knees as he leaned forward a bit.
