Right. I had the headaches, the weeing and the thirst. It wasn't diabetes but it was stress. I also started to develop terrible indigestion. I started feeling generally unwell in 2004, was told to go away and come back when there was something wrong with me by a locum in 2005 and finally got taken seriously in 2006.
Losing weight is not a cure all. I hate that doctors don't look beyond that one thing. Give it a couple of weeks and if you don't feel any better go back in and mither him.
He did do the dipstick test didn't he? (Not a comment on some wierd way of finding out whether you are a dipstick just a urine sugar test). If not I'd go back, it's not worth playing about with diabetes.
Would love it - both your pressies are done and sat at my house for you - not that that helps you..... Didn't get my Mum's scarf finished for her birthday so will have to finish it in front of her......
He should have tested your wee with Clinistix and Albustix tests to make sure there's no sugar or protein there. If they're negative, then the chances are that you're not diabetic. If he didn't do the tests, then change your doctor.
